Claudia Cabanas, APRN, CNM, is a certified nurse midwife that was born in Habana, Cuba and moved to the United States when she was eight years old. Claudia earned a Bachelor’s in Science from The University of Miami in 2009, where her background was mainly providing care to children with special needs. She acquired a second bachelor’s degree from Florida International University and became a registered nurse and worked in a high-risk labor and delivery unit in Miami. She earned a Master of Science degree in nursing and certified as a nurse midwife from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky. Claudia trained in Tampa General Hospital and Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she developed strong acute skills in deliveries and enriched her high-risk maternal care. Claudia is bilingual and is fluent in both English and Spanish. She is a member of the American Certified Nurse Midwives. She truly believes in empowering women and offering the highest standard of care all throughout their lifespan. Claudia is committed to her patient’s needs and making sure that she gets to know them on a personal level, while offering the highest standard of care.
