Warning Symptoms

Warning Signs of Possible Complications

Certain signs, at any stage of the pregnancy, should be reported right away to your healthcare provider.

Warning signs to report:

  • Can’t keep any food down
  • Abdominal pain
  • Cramping or contractions
  • Bleeding or leaking fluid
  • After 28 weeks – can’t feel your baby move or feel less movements than before
  • Constant headache that does not improve
  • Feeling dizzy, faint or lightheaded
  • Swelling of your hands, feet and/or face
  • Fever
  • Pain when you urinate
  • Feel very worried or that something is just not right
